Water level readings

Lately been second guessing the water level readings on our Jeanneau's tank system. We topped off before a short weekend hop, and the gauge still hovered just above half, no noticeable leaks, and we didn't use a ton either, are these sensors very reliable or is there an easy way to visually confirm without tearing up the whole floor or i dont even know, is there a machine to check the water level or sumn, just need new perspectives

Water level sensors can be tricky sometimes, uou might try using a simple dipstick or a clear hose as a visual check before pulling up floors, that usually helps without major work

Yep, boat water sensors are famous for being unreliable! Don't trust that gauge.
Your best bet for a quick, no fuss check is to try sounding the tank with a dipstick if you can get to an access port.
It's old school but works every time. Your sensor is probably just gunked up!

I completely agree,boat sensors can be pretty unreliable. A dipstick check is straightforward, dependable, and gives you the honest answer every time!

Ok... the gauges are a hit or miss, especially if there is already some buildup inside the tank. I second using a dipstick or clear hose setup, thanks for suggesting @OceanPursuit. It's cheap, easy, and way more trustworthy than most marine sensors.
