Leaky exhaust manifold

My problem with the Sun Odyssey 35 is that there's an exaus leak, probably a crack in the manifold. My question is should I consider welding it or repliace it entirely?

If its due to a crack in the manifold, welding might be just a temporary fix, but replacement is usually the better long term solution ofcourse. Cracks spread and reappear, and manifolds take a lot of heat and stress, so if the damage is significant, replacing is safer and more reliable

If it's a small crack and the manifold is otherwise working, a weld might buy you a little time. But if it looks brittle, maybe it's worth replacing it and avoiding the headache for later.

It really depends on where the crack is and what material it's made from coz cast iron can be tricky to weld right. If it's already showing signs of wear or corrosion, replacing it is better

Guess I'll have to hit the parts market then :)

The crack isn't massive, but now that all of you have explained that it's just temporary I understand it's probably not the best course of action. While we're here, what's the best place to look for parts for these engines?
